Lovlina Borgohain, born 2 October 1997 in Bara Mukhia village, Golaghat district, Assam, became the third Indian boxer ever to win an Olympic medal when she took bronze in the women's 69 kg division at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. She has since added a 2022 Commonwealth Games gold (75 kg).
